Who puts it all there?
I look for something and there is so many sites giving info about it.
From libraries?
I realize that libraries are funded by the taxpayer anyways, but for that city. Why give it out world wide.?
Do the many of the sites have bogus or biased information? Or what?
Can someone give me some clarity on it?
Thank you.
Info can get there by a large number of ways, but they are all displayed on webpages (obviously). Some sites are from private citizens and make no profit, just are there because the owner wants a site. Public sites such as goverment, national, and state sites are funded by there respective owner, and these usually cnotain bias information, and possibly propiganda. Ad-type sites are ones like Myspace, Facebook, and other "Free to use" sites, because even though they are free to use, they have loads of ads, wanting you to "Click Here" or "Buy This", they pay the site owner just as a company would pay to have their logo at the superbowl (assuming your American). Then theirs the strict info sites, they have no ads, just facts. Most of these are for school or education links, public library sites, or any other site that offers lots of info without ads or the need to pay.
And the internet is the largest communication network ever, so of course there will be bogus and nbias info. What i like to do if i need the truth is go on multiple search engines and look up the info i need. Whatever info has the most similarities in my searches, i treat it as the most reliable.
Just in case your not a techie like me, or are a kid, the internet has damn near all the information possible. There is truth out there, but there is also lies and false info. Just use the "Multiple Search Engine" approach and you should be ok.
