If my computer does not have a dial up connection, what do I do when the info site comes up?

when i opened Intermet explorer it came up and i was able to browse sites but all of a sudden it stopped. when that happened i closed out of internet explorer and reopened it again but the information site ( the one that says "this page cannot be displayed") came up every time i tried to go to different sites. so if anyone could tell me how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it. ( my computer does not have a dial up cinnection)

First thing first – is your computer actually still connected to the internet? If it is not, then it cannot browse the internet.

    It depends, do u have sattelite internet? If so, it could mean it cant retreive the information because of bad weather, snowy, stormy. So it will not be able to give you internet.

    Disable the dial out option.

    IE: Tools-> Internet Options-> Connections-> check the "never dial a connection" box

    LAN settings_-> Automatically detect settings

    There you are!
