Understanding the Project Management Process

Thursday, February 18th, 2010

To be a successful Project Manager, you need to understand the process of all projects. Before you can qualify for your PMP certification, you need many documented hours of experience. Project Management is the general knowledge, abilities and skills to complete the project objectives. You need to choose the proper process, devise the project plans and fit them into the requirements and plans of the stakeholders that assigned the project. If you define and plan the costs, reserves, budget and labor precisely and stay within those guidelines, you can achieve project objectives and receive more projects to manage, within your company’s operations.

How I Got My Art Career Going

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

So I just started a membership that showed me how to market my artwork in ways I never knew about. Right now I’m taking the first step and I’m submitting my best artwork to certain sites using the database they provided me. I had no idea that there were so many places that you could submit your work to that would pay you royalties every time they sold my graphic designs. We’ll see how this goes and who knows, maybe I’ll end up starting my own business online! I’ll get back to you guys in a week to see how things are going. Hopefully I’ll have some good news. :)

Odd lessons at massage therapy schools!

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

These include (but not an exhaustive list) public health/hygiene, legal issues like employment law, accountancy like bookkeeping etc etc. You have to be able to show you can cope with the academic side of the massage course before you can enrol. Don’t get disheartened if you at first fail to meet the minimum academic qualifications required by the massage school because sometimes they allow you to take other courses at the same time as the main massage courses so you can catch up. It simply means you have to work harder.

The Road to Intuition

When you feel strongly about something without logical basis to it, that’s called intuition. It comes in three impressions: clairvoyance or “the third eye”, sensing clearly and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is when your eye goes beyond what it can see. This is when you know what is happening somewhere.

Sensing clearly is basically what we refer to as “hunch” or “gut feel.” This is the time when you are overwhelmed with a feeling and you can’t explain it and all you can say is “I just know.”

On the other hand…
