In nineteenth century, most popular hemroid treatment was rubber band ligation. During that period, it was a very painful process but slowly modern techniques turned this process into less painful. The success rate of the process too has been high and according to the studies since December 1992 through 1997, observations of 100 patients were made and out of the same 37 were treated with rubber band ligation. In 26 cases, bleeding was totally stopped and in eight patients there was totally reduction of the mucous prolapse. It shows the process is highly successful and reduces the chances of hospitalization and surgery.

My Officemate’s New Diet Scheme

Friday, February 19th, 2010

It’s funny how people will try anything just to get a taste of health and fitness even just for a while. Take for example my officemate, she is now proud of her new found diet and really excited to elaborate on the details with tiniest of provocation. She is now on a liquid diet, which means she has been taking only liquid food stuff for a week, and there are still 4 weeks to go.

She said that she have found her match with this diet and will see it through. But when I asked her about the Air Climber craze she had last month, she said she was convinced that it was not for her, that this new weight loss scheme is the perfect one.

Home Fitness Machines And Karate

Friday, February 12th, 2010

I am in my late 20s now and I have just started out my Karate lessons at a local dojo (training gym). The lessons are pretty easy for the beginners, if you look at them. But as soon as I execute them, it wouldn’t take a long time for my lungs to give up. It’s very embarrassing as the kids who were on my level have a lot more air than I do.

I kept on with my lessons at the dojo, and when I’m not, I hop on my brother’s Air Climber and do 30 minutes of exercise. After about a week, I am able to get new lessons and I don’t really worry about my lungs getting a beating.

There Goes My New Years Resolution

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

For the most part of January I have been hard on work with my diet and exercises. My new years resolution was, I would stop indulging in carbohydrate rich foods, as well as fatty foods, and of course do workouts everyday. I mean it wasn’t so hard a plan, as anybody can tell. But last week, everything fell down.

It was my mother’s birthday and I forgot to tell them that I have been on the path to become a new person. They have prepared Risotto, Calzonnie and Marinara, all of which are my favorite. Well needless to say, that I have consumed a lot more than what I have intended. A good thing is that I am still strict with my Air Climberexercises.

Bodybuilding Workout & Protein Powder

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

What is the truth about protein powder when it comes to using it to improve the results of your bodybuilding workout?

The first question, if you’re a beginner, might even be, “Is protein powder really necessary?” What does it do? Which brand is the best? and so on.

Even though protein supplements are not an absolute must in your bodybuilding workout regimen, I still have not met anyone who can get 400 grams of protein each day from cooking food. It can really make your life a whole lot easier.

Is Weight Loss Really That Complicated

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I am often shocked by how many people have complicated the seemingly simple task of losing weight. Turn on your local news channel and you will see advertisements for the Medifast and Nutrisystem diet plans or some doctor who has just released a new study that identifies your fat genes. How ridiculous is that.

Are we that clueless that we simply ignore the obvious? How about before we start blaming our ancestors for our genetic makeup, we put the triple cheese burger down? I mean come on. Let’s see, you are and unhealthy eater, you don’t exercise and you can’t stand the taste of a fresh fruit or vegetable. Hmmm…I think you may have a problem that goes way beyond your genes.
