EdGi Bar-10 Barrel Review and Info
EdGi Bar-10 6.01mm Ported Tightbore Barrel. This barrel was $75 for the barrel it self, $5 for the porting at the end of the barrel, and $10 for shipping (If you live in the US and but from the US distributer). The barrel sent is $90 even. The barrel is 435mm long. This is a great barrel and possibly the best airsoft sniper rifle barrel on the market today. These barrel are made in the Philippines by EdGi and are sent to Ben in Delaware US for US distributing. Ben is a good guy to deal with and he is trustworthy. Paired with the Nine Ball hop-up bucking found at Airsoft Atlanta for $16.99, your accuracy and range will have a huge boost. EdGi also sells something called an EdGi kit. This includes a high-quality piston, spring, spring guide, sear set, and cylinder head. I haven’t bought these yet, but with all of that, you can be firing at close to 500-600 fps, maybe more. The thing is, Ben, the US distributer has stopped selling those power upgrades, so if you want to buy them, you have to buy straight from the maker, EdGi, in the Philippines. EdGi Bar-10 upgrades are the best upgrades you could possibly buy for an airsoft sniper rifle.

If you have the newer version of the Bar-10, installing the EdGi barrel will be a little harder. The end of the barrel wouldn’t fit into the stock endcap of the gun. You will have to unscrew the endcap to fix it. The endcap is really hard to unscrew on the new version. What I did was I took a reaming tool and started to ream the hole in the endcap to be bigger and the endcap came off. If you can’t get the endcap off, just ream the inside of the endcap hole so its big enough so the barrel and fit in the hole. You don’t have to use a reaming tool, but it was easier for me to use it. Any way you can make the endcap hole bigger, go ahead and do that. Im not responsible if you mess up your gun. Don’t let thise stop you from buying the barrel.

I’ve been target shooting with my rifle and the results are amazing. I have a stock rifle right now with the airbrake sawed off a little bit, a nine ball hop-up bucking, and the EdGi barrel. Im able to hit a human sized target constantly from about 200-250ft. Im using .40 bbs and my trajectory is very straight.

You need a 435mm barrel for a jg bar10 inner barrel and a 430mm will also work and if you have the jg bar10 g-spec it is 303mm size

If you do the Teflon mod and Airbrake mod properly you should be able to get close to 500fps near stock. It should also shoot 200ft pretty easily stock also. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Well, if you really want the experience and fun of upgrading a gun, then the bar-10 is ur gun. You can upgrade the out of it and it will shoot perfectly after ur done. If you want just out of the box performance, get a UTG L96 or a KJW M700. These u can also upgrade, but not like the Bar-10 and they shoot pertty good out of the box.

Well, with a really good barrel and a really nice hop-up (Nineball, King Arms, Firefly), you will shoot 200ft without any problems. Accuracy at this distance might vary from around maybe 10in at best to 5ft depending on how clean ur barrel is and other variables. 500fps+ is harder. With the stock spring, u maybe will get 400fps depending. 500fps, ur going to need internal upgrades like new sears, new piston, new spring, etc…

You could but with …
You could but with a stronger spring than the stock spring, you could have some troubles without more upgrades. You might be able to pull it of for a little while, then your sears might break or something bad might happen. I encourage that if you want a stronger spring, then buy some internal upgrades. Also, longer barrels don’t always mean more accuracy and longer barrels can encounter suction problems.
