An escort is asking me to verify myself by providing information on a site. Is it safe to do that?
I contacted a girl from adult services from Craigslist. The girl emailed send me some photos and asked me to verify myself at a web site, which cost a dollar but it takes my personal information. Is it safe to provide this information. The girl has emailed me back few times so far.
No, i don’t think that sounds very safe. I wouldn’t do it personally. I’m sure you’d be able to find an escort without posting and giving out your personal details to a website.
Good Luck. x

I am going to ignore the topic of why you are looking. Look at the disclaimers at the bottom of the CL lead pages about NOT providing any personal info or joining ID verification sites. It is an identity theft phishing scam. Bad idea all around.

OMG really did you just ask that question? come on dude you did this from craigslist, nothing on there is ever safe, if this thing requires you to enter your personal information such as name, address, ssn, credit card number don’t do it. trust me its definitely a scam. if you yourself feel like its not safe and you dont trust it dont do it. listen to your intuitions, they are always right.

NO, don’t do it. Most likely it is a scam. They will get your personal information and make charges to your account that you didn’t authorize.
How can YOU be sure the person is really a female? Unfortunately, Craigslist is notorious for scammers.
Try your local newspaper if looking for a "date".
